An Post to offer new bill-paying services

The Minister for Public Enterprise has announced a major new initiative involving the banking industry and An Post.

Minister Mary O'Rourke said the service will provide a wider range of bill payment facilities in post offices, resulting in an increased revenue stream for post offices.

A new company will also be formed to oversee the service, creating 50 jobs at a processing centre in Kilrush, Co Clare.
