Cooper-Flynn starts Independent term

Beverley Cooper-Flynn is this morning beginning her second stint as an Independent TD in the current Dail.

The Fianna Fail parliamentary party voted overwhelmingly last night to expel her after a jury found that she had encouraged people to evade tax.

The Mayo TD says despite voting with the Government in the Dail after her expulsion from Fianna Fail, her main aim is to represent the interests of her constituents.
