Charges dropped against Hamill accused

Seven people arrested in connection with the murder of Catholic Robert Hamill, who was kicked to death by a loyalist mob four years ago, have been released on police bail.

The five men and two women were detained yesterday on the orders of the Northern Ireland Police Ombudsman, who is inquiring into the RUC's handling of the investigation.
