High Court to rule on Gilligan's legal bid

The High Court will rule on Thursday morning if John Gilligan's confinement at Portlaoise Prison should be subject to a judicial review.

Currently serving a 28-year sentence on drugs charges, Mr Gilligan is challenging the withdrawal of certain privileges after allegedly assaulting a prison officer last month.
