FF chiefs to meet over Cooper-Flynn defiance

Fianna Fáil officers are to meet this afternoon to discuss the Beverley Cooper-Flynn situation.

The Mayo Deputy has refused to meet with the Party Chairman and Chief Whip until she makes a decision on whether or not to appeal her failed libel trial.

The Mayo TD - who had costs of £2m awarded against her following the defeat of her libel case against RTE - said she was entitled to consider the legal implications of the High Court decision in her libel case against the State broadcaster.
