Stormont debate over lilies
The Stormont Assembly is to debate a resolution on whether a bouquet of
lilies should be placed in the building’s Great Hall at Easter.
Both Sinn Fein and the SDLP are insisting that all who died during the Troubles should be respected.
However, the DUP and many in the UUP insist that equating the lily, which honours the republican dead, with the poppy is an outrage.
