Sinn Fein is calling for support from all political parties for the proposed

bill to incorporate Irish neutrality into the constitution.

The motion was moved by the Sinn Fein TD, Caoimhin O’Caolain moved the motion in the Dail last week and it received support from the Green Party and the Independent TDs.

The proposed bill seeks a referendum to amend the constitution to include the guarantee that the state must maintain its policy of non-membership of any military organisations.
