Taoiseach refutes economic warnings

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern says that despite a top economic report warning of a downturn, we are still way ahead of the rest of Europe.

Mr Ahern has been reacting to a report from the Economic and Social Research Institute that warned the Government it would have to have flexible policies to deal with "inevitable setbacks".
