Wexford meat plant clear of foot-and-mouth

The Slaney Meats plant in Bunclody, Co Wexford has been given the all-clear by the Dept of Agriculture.

The plant was closed last week due to a suspected case of foot-and-mouth disease.

However, based on negative results from all tests to date, the abattoir can now be re-opened.
