Lobby group hits out at plastic bullet decision
The British government's decision to replace existing plastic bullets in the North with more accurate ones has been severely criticised by a group set up to lobby for their removal.
The United Campaign Against Plastic Bullets said the decision "beggars belief".
Spokesperson Mark Thompson said one of Bertie Ahern's first acts upon becoming Taoiseach was to ban the use of plastic bullets by the Irish army and gardai.
He said his group was calling on the British government to follow Mr Ahern's example.
