Flanagan wants to oversee change
The Chief Constable of the RUC, Ronnie Flanagan, has vowed to stay on as head of the force until the changes recommended by the Patten report are in place.
The Chief Constable said that he was committed to the changes and determined to see them work.
The reforms are due to come into place in November.
Both Sinn Fein and thee SDLP have said that they are unhappy with the measures, calling them a dilution of the Patten report.
