The former radio and television commentator, Brendan O’Reilly, has died.

The former radio and television commentator, Brendan O’Reilly, has died.

Mr O’Reilly, who was the commentator when Ronnie Delaney won his gold medal at the 1956 Olympic games in Melbourne, represented Ireland in the High Jump competition in the Olympics.

He had been ill for a number of months.

Brendan O’Reilly was married with four children.
