New govt scheme to aid north Louth

The Taoiseach has confirmed that the Cooley peninsula in north Louth is to benefit from a government initiative to help disadvantaged areas in rural Ireland.

No figures have been established for the fund, but it will be aimed at developing the service and infrastructure of the area.
