Guinness workers balloted on strike action

There is a threat of all out strike action at Guinness Ireland.

The joint union forum at Guinness is also balloting members throughout the company with a strong recommendation for strike action.

A statement from the forum says the ballot is in response to the refusal by Guinness to reveal its plans for all the company's operations in Ireland.

The joint union forum is also calling on Guinness to withdraw the closure threat against the Dundalk packaging plant.
