Gardai have named the two young men who were killed in road accidents over the weekend.

Eighteen-year-old Hugh Gallagher from Ashbourne, Co Meath, died when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with another vehicle outside Ratoath yesterday evening.

In a separate incident, the motorcyclist who died when his bike struck a pole in Harold’s Cross in Dublin this morning has been named as 28-year-old Alan Byrne from Templeogue in Dublin.
