Joint statement from church leaders on ASTI strikes

A joint statement by Cardinal Desmond Connell and Archbishop Walton Empey has expressed their deep concern with the ongoing teacher’s strike.

They say that they are encouraged by the announcement of new talks involving both parties in the current dispute and urge them to take the opportunity to seek an acceptable solution.
