Labour's Penrose calls for unity against FMD
The Labour Party's Willie Penrose has congratulated the general public and all groups involved in battling foot-and-mouth in the aftermath of the announcement of two cases of FMD at Proleek, Co Louth.
Speaking in the Dáil, Deputy Penrose also called for all parties to back the Government's fight against the outbreak: "It is a day we hoped would never arrive and that confirmation of the case would never arise. Of behalf of the Labour Party, I would like to express my deep disappointment at the news.
