Call for tax breaks for stricken farmers

Farmers are calling for special tax treatment because of curtailments arising out of the foot-and-mouth crisis.

The ICMSA wants the Government to include a provision in the new finance bill to accommodate farmers who have been unable to claim stock relief because of a ban in livestock trade.
