U2 and the Corrs miss Music Awards Ceremony

The first Meteor Ireland Music Awards ceremony will be held in the Point Depot in Dublin tonight after a two-year spell without any awards show of its kind.

The event is due to get underway at 9pm and attending tonight’s show will be Elton John, Lisa Stansfield, David Gray and Atomic Kitten.

However, some of Ireland’s hottest acts - including U2 and the Corrs - will not be at the show.
