There is still no sign of agreement on a pay rise for Aer Lingus pilots.

There is still no sign of agreement on a pay rise for Aer Lingus pilots.

A gap of about £65,000 remains to be bridged for senior pilots in their 70% pay demand.

The pilots, who are members of IMPACT, are demanding equal pay with the airline's One World alliance partners, British Airways and American Airlines.

However, SIPTU has also threatened to lodge catch-up claims for baggage handlers, cleaners and catering staff if the pilots secure massive increases.

The dispute may be referred back to the Labour Relations Commission.
