One dead, one injured in Down shootings

A man was shot dead and another injured in Bangor, Co Down last night.

One man has been shot dead and another wounded in the North.

Gunmen fired shots through the living room window of a house in Conlig, Co Down, at around 11pm last night.

Another man was wounded.

Both men were rushed to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, where one was pronounced dead at 2am.

The second man is still in hospital and his condition is not seen as life- threatening.

The RUC are not treating the attack as sectarian. They are searching for two gunmen and a third man who drive the getaway car.
