Garda presence at border checkpoints increases

Extra garda checkpoints have been set up in the Emyvale area of Co Monaghan in the latest foot and mouth scare in the north.

Test results are being awaited on suspect animals in Dungannon Co Tyrone.

The sheep were moved from a farm in Augher, near the border.

Garda Superintendent John Farrelly says the increased security measures are a temporary precaution.
