U2 add a seventh date to UK tour due to demand

U2 have sold 200,000 tickets for their UK tour in just two hours.

All tickets for the original three dates at Manchester MEN Arena, Birmingham NEC and Earl's Court were snapped up within an hour.

An extra date was added at each venue and these also sold out within an hour.

Promoters have now added a third date at Earl's Court on August 21.

That is also expected to sell out quickly.

The dates that have sold out so far are on August 11 and 12 at Manchester, August 14 and 15 at Birmingham and August 18 and 19 at Earl's Court,

A U2 spokeswoman said: "It's been unbelievable, really amazing."
