No lay-offs at Intel's Irish plant

Intel has denied that there will be job losses at its Irish plant as part of its drive to shed 5,000 jobs worldwide.

Company spokesman Bill Reill said that rather than lay-offs, the company would merely not replace staff who left its European headquarters in Leixlip.
