IRA statement 'attempt to shift blame' - Trimble

The North's First Minister David Trimble has dismissed this morning's statement by the IRA that it is prepared to return to talks with the decommissioning body.

The UUP leader said the statement "bore all the hallmarks of a pre-emptive strike to try and shift the blame onto other people rather than to try and make progress".
