Westlife on course for number one spot

Westlife are on course to go to number one with their Comic Relief single Uptown Girl.

The Billy Joel cover has already sold nearly 90,000 copies, according to early sales figures.

It is comfortably outselling the current number one by Shaggy.

It Wasn't Me is likely to drop to number two in the new charts on Sunday.

Uptown Girl will be Westlife's eighth number one if it does go to the top.

Other high new entries are likely to be Clint Eastwood by Gorillaz at number four, and Jaded by Aerosmith at number nine.
