Stormont issues guidelines on foot and mouth
The Stormont executive has published new guidelines for the public to prevent the spread of foot and mouth disease.
The executive held an emergency meeting this morning and has advised people not to visit the countryside or visit Britain.
Agriculture Minister Brid Rodgers has also asked Irish fans not to travel to the rugby international against Scotland at Murrayfield on April 7 and has called for the cancellation of the Belfast Giants' ice hockey game this weekend.
With the guidelines remaining effective for 30 days after the end of the emergency, there are also fears for the Ireland-England game at Lansdowne Road.
