Fine Gael is calling on the Government to ratify an international deal which would set up a world court to deal with those responsible for war crimes and genocide.

The party says Ireland has already delayed signing up for two years and we must act now.

Foreign affairs spokesman Jim O’Keefe says the court could also be used to deal with crimes that have an impact closer to home.
