Two people killed in road accidents
Another two people have died on Irish roads overnight.
At around 12.50am this morning, a pedestrian was knocked down and killed on the Western Road in Cork.
The 19-year-old male, who was struck by a passing car, died instantly.
Meanwhile, a man taken to hospital following an accident in west Dublin yesterday evening has died.
The accident between a truck and a car happened in the Rathcoole area during rush hour and the male driver of the car died in hospital last night.
The man has been identified as 35-year-old Robert Ashe, from Ballyfermot who died at Tallaght hospital from injuries sustained in the smash.
