Noonan explains Ard Fheis decision
Fine Gael has announced it is to hold a scaled-down version of this year's Ard Fheis because of the dangers posed by the foot and mouth outbreak.
The party will instead hold a smaller conference for Dublin-based members, which will still be broadcast live. Leader Michael Noonan said, in light of the suspected outbreak in the North, the move is especially necessary.
