Norwegian vessel runs aground

A Norwegian cargo vessel has run aground at the entrance to the Boyne river.

The Lys Foss, which is transporting paper and containers, is carrying a crew of seven, all of whom are reported to be safe.

Tugs from Dublin and Greencastle will this morning tow the vessel back out to sea.
