Dublin has been badly affected by the blizzards hitting the capital. Dublin Airport will remain closed until the afternoon,and public transport is running behind schedule and the city's taxi service has been stretched to its limit.

Dublin has been badly affected by the blizzards hitting the capital. Dublin Airport will remain closed until the afternoon, and public transport is running behind schedule and the city's taxi service has been stretched to its limit.

The latest areas of concern in Dublin according to AA Roadwatch are -

Malahide Road - tree down blocking the route between Kinsealy and Malahide Castle

Foxrock - Kill Avenue blocked completely after a bus hit a wall at Foxrock Church

Sandyford - another bus has crashing, hitting a wall in the village.

Ballinteer - conditions described as treacherous

Dundrum - conditions described as treacherous

Lucan - a fallen tree on the River Road is blocking Lucan-bound traffic between Lucan and Chapelizod
