Regional side-roads are bearing the brunt of the weather crisis that has hit Ireland.

However, AA Roadwatch report that the country's national primary routes are all operating comfortably, with surface conditions good on the N11 Dublin-Rosslare route.

However, poor visibility is affecting motorists. The worst-hit roads are along or near the east coast - especially Dublin, Dundalk, Louth, Wicklow, Kildare and Carlow.
