The opposition is calling for the complete overhaul of the driving test in an effort to cut down on the numbers losing their lives on Irish roads.

The call comes after five people were killed on the country's roads at the weekend. Fine Gael TD Frances Fitzgerald believes that better driving skills and driving behaviour would make a huge difference to reducing fatalities.
