Youth shot in Co Antrim

A 17-year-old teenager has been shot in a paramilitary style attack in the North overnight.

The incident took place shortly after midnight when the youth was abducted from the Castlemara estate in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.

He was taken by a gang of masked men to a green area at the rear of Fergus Avenue in the town, where he was shot once in the right leg.
