Nothing illegal about investment package, libel trial told
A tax expert has told the High Court that the investment package at the centre of the Beverly Cooper-Flynn libel trial was in accordance with Irish tax laws.
Aidan McLoughlin said that the CMI personal portfolio did not breach Revenue Commission laws.
Mayo TD Ms Cooper-Flynn concluded her evidence earlier this afternoon after a total of more than 26 hours in the witness box.
She is suing RTE over its allegation that she encouraged clients to evade tax while an employee of National Irish Bank.
