Pro and Anti-Agreement Unionists will battle it out for the UUP party’s nomination to fight the South Belfast constituency.

The sitting MP, the Rev Martin Smyth, is Anti-Agreement while the challenger Michael McGimpsey, supports his party leaders’ Pro-Agreement stand.

The nomination will be announced later tonight.
