McCreevy facing lonely battle

Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy has gone into a meeting in Brussels to take on the European Commission and the other 14 member states - but it's now certain that Ireland is facing a lonely battle.

Minister McCreevy has entered the meeting to present a statistical chart of Ireland's economic performance, arguing that in every sense the Irish are better than the rest of the EU, except when it comes to inflation.
