McCreevy Budget scrutinised by EU chiefs today

Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy's December Budget comes under the European spotlight today at the monthly meeting of EU Finance Ministers, where Ireland is expected to be condemned over its high rate of inflation.

Last month, the European Commission warned the Irish Government that it must strive harder to put inflation in line with the EU average.
