Ashbourne body Identified

The man whose body was found near Ashbourne, Co Meath yesterday has been identified.

He was 37-year-old Keiron Smyth of Ravensdale, Dundalk.

The preliminary results of the post mortem show that he died from gunshot wounds to the head. Gardai have already launched a murder investigation, which will be headed by Chief Superintendent Michael Finnegan.
