Gardai try to identify body

Gardai are trying to establish the identity of a man whose body was found in a field in Co Meath.

The man, in his 30s or 40s, was found with his hands and feet tied behind his back near Ashbourne by a passing motorist.

He also had severe head injuries.

The investigation is being headed by Chief Superintendent Michael Finnegan and will examine the missing person list for clues to the dead man's identity.
