Det Gda Ben O'Sullivan retires from duty

The Garda who was shot alongside fellow Detective Jerry McCabe during a bungled IRA raid on a post office van in 1996 is to retire today.

Det Gda Ben O'Sullivan, who was twice awarded the Scott medal for bravery, is leaving his post at Henry St Garda Station in Limerick.
