McGuinness calls on army to produce informer
Sinn Fein's Martin McGuinness last night challenged the British Army to
produce the informer who has accused him of firing the first shots on Bloody
Sunday.
Speaking in Derry, Mr McGuinness accused the British establishment
of trying to pin the blame for the killings on him and said he intended to
appear in person before the Saville inquiry.
"My legal representatives are currently in discussions with the inquiry and
I will be very eager when the work is completed to provide my evidence. I
intend to attend the inquiry in person, I will be there," said Mr
McGuinness.
