Inflation to rise with cigarette price increase

Inflation is set to rise with the news that tobacco manufacturers are to increase the price of twenty cigarettes by 8p.

The increase will add 0.1% to our annual inflation rate, almost 5p in every pound of consumer spending goes on cigarettes.
