Birmingham Six lawyer charged with indecent assault

A lawyer who successfully fought to free the Birmingham Six has appeared in court charged with a string of sex offences.

80-year-old Ivan Geffen made his name after campaigning for the release of Gerry Hunter and Richard McIlkenny.

He has pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of indecent assault and indecency with girls, all of whom are alleged to have been 14 years old or younger.
