£100,000 cocaine haul seized at Shannon

A package of cocaine has been found on a transatlantic airliner on the ground at Shannon Airport.

The discovery was made under a seat on a flight from Newark Airport in New Jersey.

A garda investigation is underway following the seizure of the drugs, which have an estimated street value of £100,000.
