Quinn blames McCreevy for EU reprimand

The opposition has blamed Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy for the EU Commission's decision to sanction Ireland over the Government's inflationary measures.

The Commission recommended Ireland be reprimanded for pursuing such measures, which breach agreed EU economic policy.
