336,000 immigrants to enter country by 2006

An estimated 336,000 people are expected to immigrate into Ireland in the next six years.

According to a Government document prepared for Tanaiste Mary Harney, the incoming workers will fill 75% of job vacancies created during the lifetime of the National Development Plan.
