Lawlor verdict expected by lunchtime
Dublin West TD Liam Lawlor is back at the High Court this morning.
The independent deputy faces a contempt charge for failing to obey a court order issued last October compelling him to answer all questions at the planning tribunal in Dublin Castle.
Despite the order, Deputy Lawlor has refused to answer questions about £2.6m is his bank accounts and issues surrounding his credit card.
The chairman of the tribunal Mr Justice Flood stood down the TD as a witness before Christmas, sparking the contempt proceedings.
Last week, Liam Lawlor argued that his refrigeration companies and his business overseas had nothing to do with planning in Dublin and that the tribunal was working beyond his remit.
The verdict is expected by lunchtime.
