Gardai continue investigation into stabbing

Gardai have confirmed the identity of the man who died in yesterday's stabbing at an Indian restaurant in Dublin.

He was Sukhdev Singh Gill with an address in Leixlip, Co Kildare.

The 59-year-old married father was found yesterday afternoon by his son at the restaurant on Dublin's Upper Dorset Street.

The takeaway restaurant name is registered as The Food Shop but it does not currently have a sign on the shop front.

A second man was found at the scene with wounds to his throat. He is currently being treated for his wounds in hospital.
